The Orange=crowned Warbler (Oreothlypis cleata) is widespread across North America and fairly common in California. Overall it is a rather plain green with subtle stripes but it can flash a bright orange patch on its crown. It is commonly seen in woodlands and yards. The original 8 x 10 inch gouache watercolor painting was painted in 2018 and was inspired by the Orange-crowned warblers that regularly visit our yard. I always had trouble with this bird but thanks to our yard visitors, I am familiar with them now. It is available as a 4.25 x 5.5 inch note card, a 5 x 7 inch or 8 x 10 inch print.
All prints are printed on archival fine arts paper and shipped with a foam board backing.
