Blue-eyed grass (Sisyrinchium bellum) is a widespread member of the Iris family typically found throughout California west of the deserts.   This painting was inspired by plants in the San Bernardino Mountains and was commissioned as a gift.  Original:  Gouache painting by Fred M.
